The Inspiration Behind the NuVea Logo

In considering a Logo for our Plastic Surgery practice and MedSpa, we wanted to incorporate our ideals of what we feel Plastic Surgery and MedSpa treatments represent. These ideals include a number of concepts – Harmony, Balance, Renewal, Emergence, Interdependence, Precision, Beauty…

In an effort to bring these diverse ideals together, we were drawn to the concept of the “Golden Ratio”. The Golden Ratio (also known as the Divine Proportion or the Greek letter Phi) is a precise proportion that is far-reaching. It involves a precise relationship between parts – ultimately achieving a harmonious “whole”.

The proportional relationships of the Golden Ratio cross many boundaries of human endeavor – touching the fields of mathematics, biology, art, music, architecture, and many others. Examples include the relationships between facial proportions, proportions between different plant components, and many shells shapes (a prime example being the Nautilus spiral shell). Indeed, it is the “Golden Spiral” of the nautilus shell that inspired the essence of the NuVea Logo.

The metallic silver spiral of the NuVea Logo is cradled in the perfectly proportioned lattice of silver bars to create a symbol of balance and harmony. One’s eye follows the spiral of beautiful precision to emerge on the name – NuVea MedSpa. A Georgia font was selected to commemorate our home state of Georgia. The name NuVea invokes the optimism of striking out on a “new path”, a fresh perspective on life and the quality it can bring.
